Growing up, “good ranch dressing” was always my favorite, keyword here is “good”. I was famous for loving only “good ranch dressing”. What makes it good, you may ask? As soon as I tasted it, I knew if it was good…or bottled. That’s really how I feel about most bottled dressings; I can just taste something artificial in the background, something a little off. So started my tendency to make my own fresh dressings from scratch. Why not? It’s so easy to whip up a lemon vinaigrette or a creamy balsamic. One dressing I’ve surprisingly never tried to master is ranch dressing. I’m happy to say that I finally got around to it. And I didn’t create just any other ranch dressing recipe. I came up with a seasoning blend that is made specifically for protein-packed Greek yogurt as the base, a popular concept these days. The difference is, my seasoning blend is the perfect amount to mix into an individual size Greek yogurt container, making it quick and easy to whip up ranch for 2-4 servings of dipping, spreading, and drizzling. To make my version even more awesome, I played around with the seasonings until it was perfectly rich and flavorful. Easy, healthy, delicious, and done.
Good Ranch Dressing Serves: 2-4 Start to Finish: 10 minutes Ingredients 1 container Greek Yogurt (I used a 5.3oz container of 4% Chobani) 1/2 tsp Dried Dill 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder 1/2 tsp Dried Parsley 1/4 tsp Onion Flakes 1/4 tsp Sea Salt, fine grain 1/8 tsp Onion Powder 4 cracks of the Pepper Mill 1-3 TBS water To Make Stir seasonings into yogurt. Add water in 1/2 TBS increments until desired is reached. I added 2 TBS. Serve immediately or allow to chill in fridge before using.
